SEC Standings and Annual Summary, 1933-2002
note: The official SEC champion was the tournament winner from 1933-1950 (except 1935).
Since 1951 the team with the best winning pct in regular season conference games is the
official champion. The league was split into divisions in 1992 but still awards the
league championship based on conference winning pct. Also in 1992, the league began
officially recognizing division champions. Since the reinstatement of the SEC tourney
in 1979 the tourney winner has received the league's automatic NCAA bid.
