HANOVER, New Hampshire (Ticker) -- No. 9 Virginia was not guilty of looking ahead to its Atlantic Coast Conference opener Tuesday against fourth-ranked Wake Forest.

Chris Williams scored 13 of his 22 points in the first half when Virginia built a 25-point lead en route to a 102-56 rout of Dartmouth.

Virginia (10-0) is off to its best start since opening the 1992-93 season with 11 wins. Each of its 10 wins have come by at least 16 points.

The Cavaliers hit 17-of-30 shots in the first half when they opened a 50-25 lead.

Dartmouth (2-8) was 8-of-23 from the field in the first half and shot 37 percent overall.

Virginia outrebounded the Big Green, 46-24, and had 40 free throw attempts, converting 31, compared to 14 free throws for Dartmouth.

Williams played 22 minutes and hit 8-of-10 shots.

Roger Mason scored 17 points and Travis Watson added 13 for Virginia.

Greg Buth led Dartmouth with 16 points.

The game featured a matchup of brothers. Virginia guard Keith Friel averages 10.6 points per game while his brother Greg, a Dartmouth sophomore, is averaging 2.0 points.

Today, the Friel brothers combined to hit 2-of-17 shots. Keith Friel had five points on 1-of-10 shooting and Greg finished with four points on 1-of-7 shooting.

Virginia has won all three meetings by an average margin of 34 points.
